Security architects must apply numerous solutions in parallel to thwart attackers. Online behaviometrics offer an interesting authentication layer for web security. Therefore we publish a new white paper about FAR/FRR in a web environment. This paper includes the architecture and results of an independent study into the characteristics of Behaviometrics for typical use in web forms.
We present this paper to show how the BehavioSec technology can be applied in online banking. The White paper presents results from a proof of concept performed with a banking consortium. By analyzing the behavior of short sessions have been able to tell the difference between individuals and thus ensured that only the right person can verify a transaction with 96% accuracy.
The white paper is available at http://www.behaviosec.com/dlWhitepaper3.html |

False Accept vs. False Reject |
|
Correctly defining the false accept and false reject ratios for biometrics technologies is an active research area. Our engineering team has made significant progress in developing metrics for evaluating the complex issue of FAR/FRR for continuous authentication. We applied this methodology to empirical data taken from a customer environment with some interesting results. The report and further details are available on request. If you have Behavio evaluation versions installed and are interested in knowing more about the FAR/FRR in your environment please contact us. |

BehavioSec will be presenting under the topic Evolutions in Behavioral Biometrics: From Passwords to Continuous Authentication and Verification Biometrics 2009 at 12.30 the 22nd of October at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, London, UK The talk is a part of the topic 'Next Generation Biometrics'' It is easy to forget the biometrics industry is still in its development phase from a technical standpoint. Newer biometrics, such as vein recognition, have emerged as strong contenders in recent years. Meanwhile, the performance of existing technologies, such as iris, facial recognition and AFIS, are moving forward rapidly, especially when combined. Where will the technology be in the future, what could next generation biometrics look like? Book your ticket and see us at London Read more about Biometrics 2009
